Golden Gallery

18th & 19th Century European & American Decorative Art
Civil War Display

The Golden Gallery presents a Victorian nook and an array of European and American decorative arts. Also featured are the Newark Holy Stones, discovered in 2,000-year old Hopewell earthworks in the 1860s. Two of the stones are inscribed in Hebrew, one with the Ten Commandments and the other with sacred phrases. These renown stones draw visitors from around the country.

The Golden Gallery shares space with our temporary exhibit, "Hot off the Press--A Display of Early Printing"
